Not long ago, I reluctantly enthusiastically went back to an iPhone after being stuck in a certain state of digital hell for well over a year with a Droid X. The best part of the switch? The ability to write notes directly on my phone.
I can look at my home screen and right there, a beautiful icon smiles back at me: A gleaming pad of yellow ruled paper, ready for my must-remembers to be inscribed. It’s a gift, really. We’ve all fallen victim to the soul-shredding
I HAD A BRILLIANT IDEA AND I CAN’T REMEMBER IT TO SAVE MY LIFE
situations. Those are the moments where — while you’d never really do it — you could almost see yourself punching a little baby penguin. But I’m finding that those moments are less frequent now that my iPhone is back in my life. I can indulge in digital scribbles at any time of the day, as — who am I kidding? — it’s a rare moment when my iPhone isn’t within a few steps distance away.
So today’s post is the first installment of Digital Scribbles.
I ran a poll on my Facebook page, asking you folks what you’d like to see more of here on the blog. There was an overwhelming number of you who wanted more of my personal posts (nosey fuckers). And that’s what Digital Scribbles are. They aren’t necessarily thoughts that warrant 1700-word Bitch Slaps, but they are…me. While a fair majority of RedheadWriting IS a persona, here’s the person — for better and worse. They are unedited.
